How to Balance Motherhood & Entrepreneurship

This one is for all the mommas out there. The ones who are working long days & nights on your business, while simultaneously raising your kiddos to be incredible humans.

I see you. I applaud you. I am so freaking proud of you. Even when it feels like you’re alone in the biz world, remember I’m right there in the trenches with you.

In my time so far being a mom, I have tried my very best to balance my work life and my mom life. Has it been easy? Not always. But I wanted to share with you some of the tips that have saved my sanity on the crazy days.

Have set your work hours & put that phone away afterwards.

I know running your own business can be wild! When you’re kidless it’s easy to work long hours, through meals, and forget that the outside world exists. Part of the gift of being called “Mom” is prioritizing time with our kiddos. Having set work hours will show them that they’re a priority, while also helping you get out of work mode. (And on crazy days you can totally pick your laptop back up after the kids go to bed. No shame momma!)

Outsource when you have too much on your plate.

I’m not just talking about business tasks!! Mom life means wearing so many different hats. You’re the cleaner, chauffeur, chef, chaos coordinator… and that’s just to name a few! If you have too much on your plate, maybe it’s time to get the groceries delivered or hire someone to clean for an afternoon. No one is expecting you to handle every household task perfectly, and it is TOTALLY fine to pass one or more of those off to someone else.

Remember to cherish each and every moment.

Your title as “Mom”, regardless of how you received it, is so incredibly special. You have been gifted with raising these kiddos and showing them the world. These moments go by so freaking fast, so remember to capture them. Whether that’s on your camera, your phone, or in that wonderful memory of yours. Cherish these special moments now. They grow up so freaking fast.

In whatever way you’re a biz owner, and in whatever way you’re a mom, celebrate yourself. You deserve it.
