I used to be in your shoes. I was the business owner who dreamt of going full-time. I wanted to travel for work, find my dream clients, and thrive as a business owner. When I look back, I’m so grateful for the path I was able to take.
But out of everything I’ve done in the past 13 years of business, my proudest moment was this: Becoming the educator I wished I had when I was just starting out.
I used to crave resources that could fuel my creativity. I wished for tools that didn’t even exist. (Let’s be real, it was a while ago. When I started out, presets weren’t even really a thing!) I wished for a guide. Someone who had gone before me and could show me what mistakes not to make so maybe I could avoid some of the bumps in the road.
These dreams are the reason I chose to be an educator. This is the reason The Rise Academy was born.
Rise is a comprehensive online academy that teaches you how to build a successful, sustainable photography business AND grow the work you love to a whole new level. You get to learn first hand from experts in every creative field while building relationships with creatives from all over the country... all virtually from wherever you are. My hope is that Rise fills the holes that I saw when I was in the middle of my photography journey and helps you take your biz to a whole new level.
If you’re on the journey of building your business, and you feel the calling to serve on another level, here’s my encouragement to you: Remember how you felt at the beginning. What did you need? What resources weren’t you able to find back then? Fill that hole. Be the person you needed when you were younger.
